It has been announced that all schools across the United Kingdon are to close from Friday 20th March for the foreseeable future.
We are following strict hygiene advice and ensuring both staff and children are hand washing regularly, wiping down surfaces, door handles, taps etc. regularly and maintaining high standards of cleanliness in general.
From immediate effect, we have taken the decision to cancel all non-essential gatherings including swimming lessons, family assembly, our Easter fair and our end of term Church service. The Longridge Cross Country event on 25th March and the Hoopstarz event on 27th March have also been cancelled.
If anyone presents any of the symptoms in school such as a cough or fever, we are sending them home and asking them to remain in self isolation for at least 7 days or longer depending on medical advice.
Please let us know as soon as possible if your child or anyone in your household develops any symptoms. We also need to know if you decide to self-isolate as a precaution or if your child is absent because of any other reason. We are monitoring the situation carefully to help us make the best decisions for everyone in school.
We will endeavour to keep you informed of any changes by sending letters home, updating our school website and adding notices on our parent app. We are also putting together some work packs for children to access online if they are absent, we will let you know when they are available.
In light of the current situation regarding COVID-19, we have developed this page to keep you updated with information as and when we receive it.
Digital content will become available for your children to access from home in anticipation of school closures on 20/03/20.
We are also working hard to provide packed lunches to our children who are currently in self isolation that are entitled to Free School Meals (not universal FSM). Please get in touch if we can help you in this way.
If you have any queries or concerns, please get in touch by calling the school office on 01289 307536 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
